KSO Val Air Ballroom promos - 1962
Ted Adkins and Johnny MidnightThese promos were typical of station promotions at the time. The echo or reverb effect was always there. These recordings were cut on station made acetate discs. Although most stations had converted to cartridge tape (carts) by 1962, KSO was still using the acetates.
To economize the use of the discs, it was customary to put several different, sometimes unrelated items on the same disc. This particular disc also included some Super Value Food Store spots. Two are included here.
