Stu Adams was one of the first KIOA air personalites to be know as a "KIOA GOOD GUY." WMCA in New York City started the "Good Guy" label for their jocks and KIOA was one of the first other stations across the country to pick it up. It was a great vehicle for labeling the air personalities and even the listeners to the station. PD Peter McLane used the "Be a KIOA Good Guy" slogan in public service announcements to not only promote the events but tie the identity of the KIOA Good Guys into the announcements and further tie the station and it's personalities to the community. It worked well.
