Walt was aware of his presense on this site. On September 8, 2002, the night before Walt Died, his daughter Michele had called him and played his 1971 KSO aircheck from DesMoinesBroadcasting.com over the phone.

Walt enjoyed hearing the aircheck and got a chuckle out of it.
