Shortly after the first run of Chickenman in the mid 60's, KIOA ran Amazon Ace, produced by Dick Orkin, as was Chickenman. The running of Amazon Ace in Des Moines was a failure. Orkin later produced the Tooth Fairy series, which was a huge success for KIOA.
