Ralph Powers with kids on Cartoon Capers setShortly after KRNT-TV, channel 8 went on the air in 1955, Ralph Powers hosted the late afternoon Cartoon Capers show. Each day, he would have young guests on the show who would help introduce the cartoons. At the beginning of the show, each individual guest was hidden in a window behind the drawing of one of the cartoon characters and when introduced would tear open the window.
