Description: Front door on south end of building is where old steps are shown. The grade is now different and instead of walking up the steps, you can now walk directly in at street level. The roof line has been changed from flat to a gable type. The control room was in the lower left with turntables on each side of the board. There were records on shelves in the lower left hand area. The rest room (called the coldest rest room in the world) was located at the center right. The transmitter room was up at the top, or north end of the building. The Raytheon transmitter was in the middle, with an audio rack on the left side and directional antenna phaser on the right. The item shown on the left wall of the transmitter room in both the photo and diagram is an acetate disk cutter. There was a Hammerlund SP-600 short wave receiver mounted in the audio rack, below the clock, which was used to receive accurate time signals to set the station clocks.
